This page is regularly updated with questions people ask as they decide if I’m the right therapist for them.
How much do you charge? For a 60 minute session (recommended), the charge is $200. Longer appointments (90 minutes @ $300 or 120 minutes @ $400) work well for those with multiple or complex concerns, and when using specific protocols. Clients coming from afar can schedule 3-4 hour sessions to establish rapport in person before transitioning to telehealth for shorter sessions. For focused or established clients, and those attending more frequently, 45 minutes ($150) may be best.
Do you take insurance? I do not work with insurance or other third-party payers and am considered out-of-network. I can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurer. Please check with your insurer directly about your coverage and reimbursement terms.
How often and for how long do I need therapy with you? I don’t aim to keep clients coming indefinitely. Once self-regulation and insight are established, therapy typically tapers off. Sessions usually occur weekly or every other week at first, then move to monthly, lasting anywhere from four months to two years. Some clients choose ongoing monthly or twice-monthly sessions as part of their wellness routine. Therapy ends when it’s no longer helpful; clients are not formally terminated and can schedule follow up sessions as needed.
Where and how do we meet? I meet clients in Pennsylvania in person (indoors, outdoors, or walking at a nearby park) or via HIPPA secure video. I also offer telehealth sessions to clients in Delaware, Florida, and Vermont.
Do you make and accept referrals? Yes. I can communicate with referring providers involved in your care. I can refer you to trauma-informed specialists in psychiatry (including ketamine work), OB/GYN, dentistry, physical therapy, massage, and yoga. I welcome referrals of friends and family, though depending on the relationship, I may not be able to work with them. In those cases, I can help find alternate providers.
Who will you communicate with about me? Your therapy is confidential. I do not communicate with parents, partners, family, friends, payers, or insurers without your permission. Answering calls or emails from third parties requires your prior consent. We can include your supporters in “collateral” sessions, which requires simple planning and paperwork. In the event of an emergency, I will reach out to your emergency contact. In line with mandated confidentiality limits, I will call appropriate parties if abuses or harms are indicated.
Do you work with clients taking (or tapering/declining) psychiatric medications for complex issues? Clients who take multiple stimulant or sedative psychiatric medications for the treatment of personality, attentional, addictive, reactive, or compulsive disorders may not be suited for this therapy. I can support clients seeking therapy with a goal of reducing medications but require a psychiatrist to oversee any changes. Where clients agree to additional supports and understand policies and limits, I can and do help those working with the serious results of entrenched trauma.
Where are you in terms of faith? I practice and study within the Buddhist tradition and work respectfully with people of various beliefs. I encourage exploration of complex questions around good and evil, spirituality and psychology, and the many contradictions in life, offering compassionate support through significant suffering.
Where are you in terms of psychedelics? I am intensively trained in these rediscovered, powerful healing approaches and have long helped clients prepare for and integrate journeys. I completed the 2025 Dharma K experiential/training with Ketamine Training Center and recently completed the 2025-2026 Polaris KAP Training Cohort. I look forward to informing clients' understanding and pursuit of this controversial adjunctive treatment.
